Yep, that's what the daughter of my heart told my beloved when she got up on Sunday morning. "Happy Earth's Birthday"! Um, no...not exactly. But yes, it WAS a birthday, actually TWO that we celebrate on that day. July 4 is not only our Nation's day to celebrate, it is my Aunt's very "unadoptive" birthday. No, she wasn't adopted....no matter what her siblings told her :). So the fourth of July is always a busy day/weekend for us. Here is a glimpse of what we did this year!
Our church, along with a couple others met at a local park for an all-day event. My sisters and their extras came to join us. There was worship music played loud and proud all day, after all...this is still "One Nation Under God", right? The kids played on water slides, spacewalks, a playground, had faces painted, rode on a train....while the adults monitored (kinda sorta), ate, and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

They saved the best for last. SNEAUX! Several tons of snow was piled on the ground for one huge snoball fight. Next year I think there should be one for the children, and one for the big kids....

"Hmm...I don't think I like snow"

"I don't, I really don't"

"I like watermelon, though!"
